    Principal

    Matthew Dundon founded the firm in 2016. He has been a global credit, litigation and distressed investment leader for 20 years, with previous roles as research head at Miller Tabak Roberts Securities (now the corporate credit trading business of StoneX) from 2006-2010 and portfolio manager at Pine River Capital and Advent Capital from 2010-2016. He has led clients and co-investors to victory in complex situations ranging from the most esoteric market opportunities to front-page-news mega cases. Matt speaks and writes widely on credit and restructuring topics, and his expert testimony and reporting regularly drives outcomes in high-stakes litigation and arbitration. Matt began his career as a corporate finance lawyer and bond trading analyst.

  • Peter Hurwitz

    Principal

    Mr. Hurwitz leads the firm’s efforts in media and entertainment opportunities, and participates more broadly in the firm’s restructuring, distressed investing and special credit opportunities businesses. As a firm principal, he shares with Matthew Dundon in the general management of the firm. He joined the firm after long a career as a senior business and legal executive in the entertainment industry. He holds a JD from Georgetown Law Center and a BA from Middlebury College.

    Chief Operating Officer

    Paul Weir has been the firm’s Chief Operating Officer since 2025, with diverse responsibilities across planning, performance assessment, finance, long-term initiatives, professional staff development, and operational and technology support. He was most recently Chief Operating Officer of BNY Mellon’s RIA business, and previously held progressively responsible operational leadership roles at global financial institutions include Bear Stearns, Citi, BlackRock, Pacific Life, WAMCO, and First Eagle. He was a serving officer in the (UK) Royal Navy before his finance career. He holds an honours bachelor degree in management from the University of Hull.

  • Victor Baev

    Managing Director

    Victor is a longtime mortgage-backed securities and real estate investment expert. He leads and co-leads MBS and real estate related engagements and asset management mandates, including the firm’s E1 Mortgage Strategy.

    He began his fixed income career at Barclays 25 years ago and progressed through roles of increasing responsibility at Dresdner Kleinwort and Credit Suisse, before joining Pine River Capital Management in 2009. He was a senior mortgage investment professional for Pine River, and its mortgage REIT Two Harbors, until 2021. He holds a BBA from Baruch and an MBA from Columbia University.

    Managing Director

    Ms. Barlow is a Florida-based Managing Director at Dundon Advisers LLC where she co-leads the firm’s major mass tort practice. She started her investment banking career with Chase Manhattan Bank in 1993. Ms. Barlow's financial advisory and restructuring experience also includes buy-side roles and representations, advisory work related to contested confirmation valuations, purchasing of bonds(long/short), trade and litigation claims, and providing expert testimony and declarations. Ms. Barlow regularly speaks and writes at industry conferences..

  • Ravi Bhalla

    Managing Director

    Mr. Bhalla heads the firm’s infrastructure finance advisory practice and participates in the firm’s restructuring businesses.

    Between 2009 and 2025 he was a City Councilman and Mayor of Hoboken New Jersey, and was previously an attorney in private practice. He is a regionally and nationally recognized expert in the funding and development of critical infrastructure. In addition to his work with Dundon, he is currently a New Jersey state legislator.

    Mr. Bhalla holds an AB from the University of California at Berkeley, a JD from Tulane University, and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.

    Josh is a nationally-prominent expert in bankruptcy, distressed debt investing, and restructuring. He leads and co-leads numerous Dundon restructuring, refinancing and asset advisory engagements. He was a long-time senior analyst for Foxhill Capital and worked with other leading financial institutions at the outset of his career.     Managing Director

    Eric seeks and executes corporate and institutional investor mandates in restructuring and loan origination in our key industrial and thematic focus areas. He joined the firm from a senior restructuring investment banking role at the Miller Buckfire unit of Stifel, and previously was a senior high yield and convertible bond analyst focused on technology issuers at predecessors of Stifel and INTL FC Stone Credit.   • Romeo Reyes

    Managing Director

    Mr. Reyes has spent his career as an investment banker, leveraged finance research analyst and trusted advisor to media and communications companies and their investors. Mr. Reyes’ experience includes advisory services, raising institutional debt and producing institutional research coverage of wireless, cable television, fiber, data center and satellite communications companies around the world.

    Mr. Reyes has led over 70 TMT companies to execute transaction volume exceeding $20 billion. Most recently, Mr. Reyes served as CFO of Endurance Acquisition Corp., a SPAC which successfully merged with Israel-based Satixfy Communications. Mr. Reyes spent the bulk of his career at Jefferies LLC, where over 19 years he held leadership positions, including Americas Head of Communications, Cable & Satellites Investment Banking, Director of Leveraged Finance Research and Senior TMT Credit Analyst. Prior to Jefferies, Mr. Reyes held similar roles at UBS, Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.

Core proficiencies include solvency/fraudulent transfer analysis, 363 sales and liquidity management. He joined the firm in 2023 after serving in a senior role with Berkeley Research Group. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Advisor at Dundon Advisors, LLC, providing strategic IP guidance for bankruptcy restructuring, and also serves as outside counsel for Intel Corporation.     Jason MacRae participates in engagements for alternative energy and technology issuers and their creditors, with particular focus on the solar power vertical.

    Since 2013, he has held senior finance and line executive roles for leading alternative energy and technology concerns and their institutional investors, including Sunpower, Capital Group and Amazon.

    From 1993 to 2013, he held progressively more responsible positions in the finance industry, culminating in roles as Global Co-Head of Credit Solutions at Morgan Stanley and Chief Operating Officer of Loan Value Group.

    Abraham Wickelgren advises Dundon clients on antirust matters. He is also the Bernard J. Ward Centennial Professor at the University of Texas Law School. He is the co-editor of the American Law and Economics Review, has been on the editorial boards of the Journal of Industrial Economics and the International Review of Law and Economics and is a former member of the board of directors of the American Law and Economics Association. Mr. Wickelgren received an A.B. from Harvard College, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. Mr. Wickelgren was an assistant professor at Northwestern and has been a visiting professor at Duke and Yale.
